God gave Allen a love for music at an early age. Especially interested in guitar he began lessons at the age of twelve and by fourteen he was both writing songs and leading in worship with a group of friends at the small Christian school he attended.
While music had gripped his heart, God gripped it more. As just a young boy he surrendered his life to Christ and through God's help and the support of loving parents grew in his faith, understanding what true surrender looked like in his early teen years. Allen knew God wanted him involved with both music and ministry, and eventually realized God's call upon his life to be in full-time ministry.
In 2009, Allen graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Worship and Music Studies, and in 2016 with his Masters in Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Allen is an ordained Southern Baptist Pastor.
He married the love of his life, Erica Mustian, on March 6, 2010; and since God has blessed them with their sons Josiah Allen, and Ezekiel James as well as with their daughter Hannah Faith.
Over the years Allen has served as the worship leader at various internships, camps, and events. Allen has served on staff at Central Baptist Church in Henderson, NC since 2010 serving currently as the Worship and Student Pastor.
While Allen's primary calling is to minister to the flock at Central by providing Biblically based worship leadership, discipling students, and preaching God's Word; he loves to write songs and lead worship at local school chapels, nearby camps, and even around the campfire. (He enjoys teaching guitar to others as well). It's his desire that his original music be intentionally Gospel-centered and point all to Christ. Most importantly he desires to "live the lyrics" that he sings, leading out a life that is one of worship to the One true God that the Bible proclaims.
